League of Nations: Portugal won and Spain got complicated

Spain let a great opportunity pass and complicated its chance of reaching the final home run of the European Nations League by losing 2-1 at home to Switzerland, a result that opened the chances for Portugal, who thrashed the Czech Republic 4-0 in Prague.

In Zaragoza, Spain suffered a strong wake-up call less than two months before the World Cup when they lost to Switzerland, who took the lead through Manuel Akanji. In the second half, Jordi Alba equalized, but Breel Embolo scored the winning goal three minutes later.

The result allowed Portugal to remain as the sole leader of Group 2, as the Lusitanians thrashed the Czech Republic 4-0 with a brace from Diogo Dalot and goals from Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Jota. Thanks to the three points, Portugal was the leader with 10 points, two more than Spain, who will have to win on the last date in Braga to win the zone. With the tie at home, Portugal will enter the final home run.
