The latest update to League of Legends, version 25.10, has rolled out, bringing with it a new game mode called “Modo Treta” or “Brawl Mode.” This fresh addition is all about fast-paced action and minimal strategy, shaking things up in the popular multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA).
Gameplay Simplified
Ranked and casual matches on the Summoner’s Rift map can be complex, deterring new players. Modo Treta changes that by stripping things back. Here’s how it works: each team starts with 250 health, and the objective is simple – whittle down the opposing team’s health to zero. Players can achieve this by killing enemy champions (5 damage), taking out enemy minions (1 damage), or getting their minions to the enemy’s portal (1 damage).
The minions are no longer just cannon fodder; they’re key to winning. Players can choose their champions, and team fights are frequent. This mode is designed to be quick and easy, making it perfect for players of different skill levels to team up.
Key Differences
The Modo Treta map is set in Twisted Treeline’s Bandopolis, minus towers and complex objectives. Monster camps along the minion path offer valuable buffs, but dragons and barons are nowhere to be seen. Unlike ARAM mode, players can return to base to heal and buy items without having to die.
This new mode is all about simplicity and action. With a straightforward objective and fast-paced gameplay, it’s an excellent way for new players to get into League of Legends or for seasoned players to unwind.
Riot Games has shared a developer blog detailing the new mode, describing it as “a lot of action and little strategy.” The gameplay is straightforward, making it accessible to players of all skill levels.
