League Cup: Three attractive proposals for Saturday

With three games in zone B, this Saturday will start the third date of the Professional League Cup. The day will start at 5:00 p.m. in Sarandí when Arsenal hosts Huracán, will continue at 7:15 p.m. in La Plata when Estudiantes face Lanús and will close at 9:30 p.m. in Liniers when Independiente visits Vélez.

Students, leader with ideal score

Students, one of the two teams with the ideal score in the Professional League Cup, will receive Lanús in a duel that will be refereed by Patricio Loustau and televised by Fox Sports Premium and Public TV.

Ricardo Zielinski’s team began their campaign with two victories, over Independiente (2-1) and Huracán (3-2), making them the only ones to have achieved it in Zone B, while in Zone A they only won their two Argentine Juniors matches.

Students had many offensive variants in their two games, linked to the return of striker Mauro Boselli, who scored a goal against Independiente and another against Huracán, demonstrating his validity at 36 years old. It will be necessary to see which formation Zielinski uses, taking into account that his team will visit Audax Italiano on Wednesday in Chile in search of a place in the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.

Lanús, meanwhile, began the new cycle of coach Jorge Almirón with a loss to Huracán (1-0) and recovered with a victory over Barracas Central (2-0). Almirón is likely to repeat the formation that surpassed Barracas, since he was very satisfied with the contribution of striker José Manuel López as companion of the eternal José “Pepe” Sand, after having left him out of the team on the first date, when he had opted by Angel Gonzalez.

Vélez and Independiente, to escape irregularity

With one game won and another lost, Vélez and Independiente will arrive this Saturday at the Liniers crossroads, which will be broadcast by TNT Sports and arbitrated by Germán Delfino.

The coach of “Rojo”, Eduardo Domínguez, will make two changes in relation to the eleven that beat Arsenal (1-0) with the entry of Lucas Rodríguez and Gastón Togni for Thomas Ortega and Damián Batallini, one of the reinforcements from the last market of passes

Lucas Pratto will not be in Vélez from the start, who will be replaced by José Florentín, the same variant that the Velez coach Mauricio Pellegrino made in Tuesday’s loss against Central in Rosario.

Arsenal-Hurricane, duel of the needy

Arsenal, in need of points to get out of the bottom of the table of averages, will host Huracán in Sarandí, in a match broadcast by TNT Sports and arbitration by Diego Ceballos.

“We know that there are many things to improve still. This is a squad that had many additions (16), which still needs work”, commented Leonardo Madelón, Arsenal coach, after the defeat with Independiente (1-0).

For its part, Huracán had a good debut against Lanús (1-0) and then failed against Estudiantes (3-2), in a meeting with controversy and crosses between players for alleged “charges”, as explained by Patricio Toranzo.
