After four months on the run from justice in Mexico, the Peruvian driver Laura Bozzo reappeared on Tuesday in the media to give details of her legal situation, after the arrest warrant against her was suspended.
"I had an open stomach for a year, I had septicemia and breast cancer, if I did not appear (with the authorities) it was because jail was an anticipated death sentence, (…) I would never have fled the youngest I knew I was innocent and I asked my lawyers for help"said in the program "Come the joy".
On August 11, a Mexican judge imposed preventive detention on the television presenter for an alleged tax offense of more than 12 million pesos ($ 602,000 approximately) for having sold a property that was repossessed.
Accused of being an unfaithful depositary, the presenter did not heed the call of the authorities, so on August 18 a federal judge ordered her capture and later she began to be searched in 195 countries that make up Interpol.
This Tuesday it was revealed that the ninth District Judge for Amparo and Trials in the State of Mexico, Juan Miguel Ortiz, notified that Bozzo He has already submitted the requirements imposed, so the arrest warrant that existed against him is suspended.
This was accompanied by the payment of 2.6 million pesos (approximately $ 122,354) so ​​that the suspension would not lose effect, without exempting the controversial driver from repairing the damage.
"What is owed is paid (…) I just gave 2,600,000, we are negotiating if there is a tax credit that has to be paid", admitted the host, recognized by the program "Laura in America", in his appearance on Tv Azteca.
In addition, Bozzo pointed out that she would not go to trial on her legal situation, because what he was really looking for was to reach an agreement with the tax attorney.
"I trust him and the authorities", he pointed.
In social networks, Bozzo showed a video in which he is in Acapulco, a beach in the south of the country, where he assures that he will be in charge of clearing his name proving his innocence with evidence.
