Laporta, with intentions: “The best team is the one that wins LaLiga”

Joan Laporta, president of Barça, was one of the first to appear after the title won by Barça. Happy, but restrained. “It has been a very worked League, the players have made an effort and have talent. And now I will celebrate with the players. Winning with four days to go and being champions means that we have worked well. We have returned the illusion to Barcelona fans and we hope it is the beginning of a golden age. This League is dedicated to all culés”.

President applauded the role of Xavi. “He has been decisive because he is a man who, apart from his knowledge of the institution and knowledge of this genuine football, has been key in the title. We have a great coach, a great staff and we are very happy that this continues”.

For Laporta, the key was not to relax on the road: “We have always thought that we were on the right path but you can never think that it is done because the Spanish League is competitive and all the teams are very good. We have great teams in the League and we have always had the mentality of continuing to work. To believe, but to deserve it. Win it in Cornella? What we wanted was to win the League as soon as possible. We played a good game and we deserved the victory and the championship. In this sense, the rival did not matter”.

Laporta also looked to the future: “We are already working on the team for next season and we hope to be able to strengthen ourselves. We are designing an austerity and feasibility plan to have fairplay and strengthen ourselves. We are working hard”. Minutes before, he went through the flash interview of Movistar Plus +: “The titles have already arrived. We have saved the club financially. We have brought joy back to Barcelona fans and we have already won important titles. The best team is the one that wins LaLiga. He has been more placid than we expected. We have dominated and been clear winners. We are champions. Let’s celebrate all the culés!”
