Lando Norris is unhappy with his sixth-place qualifying finish for tomorrow’s Bahrain Grand Prix. He lost time in the first turn on his final lap during Q3, struggling to improve his McLaren’s performance. The real disappointment is that his teammate, Oscar Piastri, secured pole position, making Norris’s sixth place even more frustrating. The only consolation is that Max Verstappen, the four-time world champion, qualified seventh, a position worse than Norris’s.
Norris admitted he was slow throughout the weekend. He said it felt like he had never driven a Formula 1 car before, and he was still searching for answers. The British driver is currently leading the championship, just one point ahead of Verstappen. Norris acknowledged that Piastri outperformed him and that he would have to settle for second place.
- Norris qualified sixth for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
- Piastri secured pole position.
- Max Verstappen qualified seventh.
