LaLiga has summoned the professional clubs to hold an Extraordinary General Assembly that will take place on April 19, and in which the consequences of the case for the payments of FC Barcelona to the former vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees will be analyzed (CTA) José María Enríquez Negreira.

Professional clubs await explanations for a ‘Negreira case’ that has affected the image and credibility of Spanish football and trust in the presence of the presidents of FC Barcelona, Joan Laporta, and Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez, LaLiga sources pointed out.

This Monday FC Barcelona showed its “deep anger, indignation and weariness” at the information published in the newspaper The vanguardwhich affirmed that the president of LaLiga, Javier Tebas, would have presented false evidence to the Prosecutor’s Office against the Barcelona club in the ‘Negreira case’and requested the resignation of the president of the association of clubs.

For his part, Javier Tebas responded in his official profile of Twitter that they had requested the newspaper “the right of rectification” because the published information included, according to him, “affirmations and erroneous information” that “seriously” harmed their “honor and reputation”, in addition to “the image” of LaLiga .

Tebas recalled that he sent this documentation to the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Barcelona that is investigating the ‘Negreira Case’ making it clear that it did not imply “the exercise of specific accusation against anyone”, so it would not be “false evidence”.
