Lagerbielke Mocks Dutch “Missing” Status on Instagram with Avicii’s “Can’t Catch Me”

It’s not every day a city officially reports a professional athlete as “missing.” But that’s precisely what happened this Friday in Enschede, Netherlands. The local municipality released a statement regarding Gustaf Lagerbielke, a player who once called their city home.

The Swedish defender played for Twente during the last football season. Because of his move, the city council found he was no longer registered as a Dutch resident. However, they simply couldn’t track down his new address. Lagerbielke now plays for Sp. Braga, but Enschede’s officials were left scratching their heads about his current whereabouts.

Lagerbielke, currently with Sp. Braga, clearly found the situation amusing. He took to Instagram, sharing a playful response with his followers. His ‘story’ featured a picture of him looking relaxed at a cafe terrace. Above the image, he added the text “unknown location.”

To top it all off, he chose a fitting soundtrack for his post. The song playing was ‘Can’t catch me’ by the late Swedish musician Avicii. It was a clever way for the footballer to poke fun at being officially declared unreachable.
