Lack of proper leadership at Cricket Australia, Warner targets board from WTC final

The final match of the second edition of the World Test Championship (WTC) between India and Australia will be played at The Oval from June 7. Players from both teams have come to England to take part in this historic match. But meanwhile, the veteran opening batsman for the Australian team, David Warner, made such a statement regarding his cricket board, that he shocked everyone.

In his statement, David Warner not only fiercely attacked Cricket Australia, but also called them irresponsible. In fact, Warner has given this statement describing Cricket Australia’s steps as very disappointing in the matter of lifting the captaincy ban placed on it.

In his statement to the Sydney Morning Herald, Warner lashed out at the board, saying that Cricket Australia is constantly dragging the issue. While his efforts are on putting an end to this matter soon. I can’t focus on my game because of all this trouble. During matches, I used to get calls from lawyers and I had to talk to them. This is very disappointing to me. The board lacks proper leadership and no one wants to take responsibility.

David Warner appealed to an independent Cricket Australia panel last year to lift his captaincy ban. On this, there was a demand to lift the ban on him. Warner wanted this 3-member panel to hear his appeal in closed session. But he was rejected. Following this, Warner withdrew his appeal. Warner said about this that his intention was to humiliate me.
