Filmmaker and Aamir Khan’s ex-wife Kiran Rao is busy promoting her upcoming film Laapta Ladies these days. This film will be released in March 2024. The trailer of the film has been released and has received good response from the fans.
Meanwhile, in an interview on Zoom, Kiran opened up about why Aamir is not acting in Missing Ladies. Kiran also said that the failure of Laal Singh Chaddha affected Aamir a lot.
Kiran said, “It was disappointing when you put all your effort into something and it didn’t work, like it happened with Laal Singh Chaddha.” This touched Aamir Khan deeply. We were all affected by this too. Because this project had many phases. This was created during the rollercoaster ride of Covid 19. This was Aamir’s dream project. To make this film, we spent a decade acquiring the rights to the Forrest Gump film.
Kiran further said, “It was disappointing.” I was happy that people responded well on social media. I also felt like the film didn’t get that much chance and didn’t work. We have to accept the fact that people didn’t like it and didn’t want to see it.
We tell you that Lal Singh Chaddha was released in 2022. Directed by Advait Chandan. This was the official Hindi remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Apart from Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh also played important roles in this film. The film faced a boycott and failed to do much at the box office.
Speaking of Missing Ladies, it was directed by Kiran Rao. The film stars Atishay Jain Akhil, Shivam Ghawariya, Ravi Kishan and Durgesh Kumar in the lead roles. The story of the film showed that a newly married bride goes missing on the train. Her husband only has a photo of her that doesn’t even show her face. The police are busy finding this bride. Ravi Kishan plays the role of inspector.
