La Reina del Flow 3: Major Fan Favorites Not Returning

The highly anticipated third season of “La Reina del Flow” will proceed without several beloved characters, marking a significant shift for the popular Caracol TV series. Production decisions, a decrease in character relevance, and explicit character deaths are cited as reasons for their absence.

While an official release date and trailer remain unannounced, Caracol TV is currently re-airing the second season. This re-run builds anticipation for the upcoming continuation of Yeimy Montoya and Charly Flow’s story. Carolina Ramírez and Carlos Torres are confirmed to reprise their leading roles.

Among the most prominent departures is Juan Camilo Mesa, known as “Juancho.” Actor Andrés Sandoval, 42, provided specific reasons for his exit after being a central figure in the first two seasons. The character was initially loved but later became controversial.

Two major antagonists, Dúver Cruz, alias “Manín,” and Gema Granados, are definitively out of the picture. Manín was explicitly killed in the second season, making his return impossible. Gema’s death was also definitive and included a funeral in the series.

Other characters will also be noticeably absent. Vanessa Cruz, Charly Flow’s daughter, saw fewer appearances in season two, especially after moving to Japan with her boyfriend, Pite. The introduction of Alma, Charly and Yeimy’s daughter, will likely shift the narrative focus.

Zulma, a journalist who assisted Yeimy in her revenge against Charly Flow, loses narrative relevance following the pact of peace between the two leads. Her role was critical in earlier seasons.

Secondary characters like Chris Vega and Catalina Badoya are also not expected to return. Chris Vega contributed to the show’s urban music flavor and had a romance with Catalina. Catalina, an antagonist, had ties to Juancho.

Sandee, Erik Cruz’s former romantic interest, and Zafiro, Mike Rivera’s assistant, have also not been seen in filming and are unlikely to appear. Zafiro’s role diminished after her boss’s imprisonment and the dissolution of their company.

The fate of several other characters remains unconfirmed. ‘El Buho’, Caronte, Don Édgar, and Detective Ángel Botero were not observed during filming, but their potential return could still offer surprises for fans.
