Kuwait’s central bank is also monitoring advertisements published by coin collectors who are selling the sixth issue of Kuwaiti dinar banknotes at a price higher than their financial value.

Kuwait’s central bank, on the other hand, has instructed local banks to stop charging fees for electronic local money transfers.

The central bank clarified that the imposition of such fees would require approval from the concerned authorities within the framework of a balanced relationship between banks and their customers.

The central bank stressed the need to ensure that the move supports trends towards digital transformation and encourages consumers to use electronic channels.
