Kumar Vishvas: Cried with Hans Zimmer, AR Rahman on ‘Ramayana’ Film Songs

Imagine a recording studio where tears flow as freely as melodies. That’s the scene artist Kumar Vishvas recently painted for fans. He spoke about working on the highly anticipated film “Ramayana.” He shared how deeply the music-making process moved him, alongside legendary composers Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

Director Nitesh Tiwari is bringing the epic “Ramayana” to the big screen. Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Ram, and Sai Pallavi will star as Mother Sita. This film aims for a grand scale. The filmmakers are focusing heavily on the music, too. Kumar Vishvas is writing the lyrics. The sound-track is a big job for A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Everyone expects big things from this team.

Vishvas recently told a crowd about his surprising experience with the project. He confessed he didn’t even know who Hans Zimmer was at first. He just thought Zimmer was “some Englishman.” The news about his collaboration with Zimmer and Rahman spread on his family’s WhatsApp group. His niece sent a message that read, “Uncle, you’ve done something amazing!” Vishvas said he had to ask her what she meant. That’s when she told him all about Zimmer’s fame.

The three artists, from different backgrounds, found a powerful connection through music. Vishvas shared that Zimmer is Christian, Rahman is a devout Muslim, and he is a Sanatani. He explained their diverse faiths somehow made the songs even more soulful. “When we create songs, all three of us are crying,” he revealed. He shared that one particular song, about Lord Ram’s farewell, took seven long days to finish. It was just too difficult to complete because of its emotional weight.

Hans Zimmer is a famous German composer and music producer. He has created soundtracks for many hit movies. You might know his work from films like ‘The Lion King,’ ‘Pirates of the Caribbean,’ ‘Inception,’ and ‘Dune.’ His talent has earned him global recognition.
