Just before the five game series against South Africa, the shock period of the India team continues. Star spinner Kuldeep Yadav has been out of the team. The BCCI has issued a statement reporting the exclusion of Kuldeep Yadav from the T20 series. BCCI said: “Kuldeep Yadav will not be part of the series against South Africa. While he was practicing batting, Kuldeep Yadav injured his right hand.
The BCCI had already reported that KL Rahul has also been ruled out of the series against South Africa due to injury. BCCI has relinquished command of the team to vice-captain Rishabh Pant, while Hardik Pandya, returning to the team after a long time, has been appointed vice-captain.
The BCCI has made it clear that the replacement for KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav will not be selected in this series. Along with this, KL Rahul and Kuldeep Yadav will go directly to the National Cricket Academy in Delhi and work on their fitness there.
In the series against South Africa, the effects department will be headed by Yuzvendra Chahal. Ravi Bishnoi is believed to have a chance in the T20 opener. In the absence of KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan and Rituraj Gaikwad will now take responsibility for opening the team.
