Kubera Pre-Release Event Postponed Due to Ahmedabad Plane Crash

A devastating plane crash in Ahmedabad has prompted the makers of the upcoming film “Kubera” to postpone its pre-release event. The event, which was expected to feature the film’s star cast, crew, and several Tollywood celebrities, has been put on hold as a mark of respect for the families of the 241 passengers who lost their lives in the tragic incident.

According to reports, the film’s makers have decided to delay the event and will soon announce a new date. “Kubera”, directed by Shekhar Kammula, stars Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. The film is set to hit theaters on June 20 and features music composed by Devi Sri Prasad.

Meanwhile, Dhanush has a slew of projects lined up, including the emotional drama “Italy Kadhali”, which he is also directing. The film, scheduled for release on October 1, 2025, stars Nithya Menen and has music by GV Prakash Kumar. Dhanush will also be seen in the romantic thriller “Tere Ishq Mein”, alongside Kriti Sanon, marking their first on-screen collaboration.

As the film industry comes together to mourn the loss of lives in the Ahmedabad plane crash, the postponement of the “Kubera” pre-release event serves as a reminder of the human spirit’s capacity for empathy and solidarity in times of tragedy.
