The wait is over for fans of India’s biggest superhero franchise, Krrish. After 12 years of rumors and false starts, Rakesh Roshan has finally confirmed that Krrish 4 is happening, and it’s going to be bigger than ever. Roshan has joined forces with Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films to produce the movie, which will star Hrithik Roshan as the iconic superhero. But that’s not all – Hrithik will also be making his directorial debut with Krrish 4.
The film is set to go on the floors in early 2026, with a script that’s already been finalized. Rakesh Roshan couldn’t be prouder of his son Hrithik, who has been a part of the Krrish franchise since its inception. “I’m handing over the reins of Krrish 4 to Hrithik, who has lived and breathed this franchise since its beginning,” Roshan said. “He has a vision to take the Krrish journey forward for decades to come, and I couldn’t be more proud to see him direct a film that means so much to us as a family.”
Rakesh Roshan believes that Hrithik will take his vision to new heights, and with Aditya Chopra on board as producer, the film is in good hands. “Aditya has the knowledge, understanding, and technical capability to add value to this project,” Roshan said. “The combination of Hrithik and Aditya as director and producer is a rare and exciting creative collaboration.”
The Krrish franchise has been a game-changer for Indian cinema, entertaining audiences worldwide since its debut in 2003 with Koi Mil Gaya.
