Korean Actor Choi Jung Woo Dies at 68

Choi Jung Woo, a veteran South Korean actor, passed away on May 27 at the age of 68. His agency, Bless ENM, confirmed the news, stating that the cause of death is currently unknown.

Choi Jung Woo was known for his powerful performances in films like “The Legend of the Blue Sea” and “Doctor Stranger”. He had been battling panic disorder and depression.

The actor’s recent works include “Project Silence”, “The Tale of Lady Ok”, and “Who Is She”. Fans and fellow actors are paying tribute to him on social media, remembering his iconic roles and legacy in the Korean film industry.

Choi Jung Woo started his career in theater before moving to TV and film. He won several awards, including the 36th Dong-A Theatre Awards for Best Actor in 1999. He is also known for his roles in “God’s Quiz” series, “Two Cops”, and “Public Enemy 2”.

His funeral will be held on May 29 at 10 am at the Sivon Yeonhwa Cemetery. Choi Jung Woo leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable performances and will be deeply missed by the film industry and his fans.
