Konkona Sen Sharma is currently in the spotlight for her recently released series, ‘Search – The Naina Murder Case’. The acclaimed actress and director Rohan Sippy have shared insights into the new show.
Sen Sharma expressed her enthusiasm for the project, citing a personal passion for crime narratives. She stated, “I really enjoyed it because I love true crime. Not just true crime, but crime fiction and crime series too; I like all of them. I have watched many.”
She was particularly drawn to her character, ACP Sanjukta Das. The role allowed her to explore the balance between a demanding professional life and personal responsibilities.
Sen Sharma observed, “From the beginning, I noticed how ACP Sanjukta Das was presented. We showed her domestic life, her professional life, and the balance between the two. As a mother, as an ACP, as a wife, maintaining balance between all these aspects was very interesting for me.”
Director Rohan Sippy also discussed the importance of keeping stories relevant for contemporary audiences. He noted that viewers today consume both fictional and true crime stories.
Sippy emphasized that audiences are perceptive and will quickly identify any weaknesses in a narrative. He believes writers must understand if viewers are engaged and unable to predict the outcome.
