Sen Sharma recalled her initial experience with the script for Zoya Akhtar’s film. She described being "completely blown away" by the screenplay.
She considered it the best script she had read at that time. Her immediate reaction was to ask if filming could commence the very next day. Sen Sharma felt fortunate to have been part of the project.
