Pakistan captain Babar Azam has broken another Virat Kohli record in international cricket. He has become the longest serving number one batsman in the world in the ICC T20 international batsman rankings.
Babar Azam breaks another Virat Kohli record
Team India’s star batsman, Virat Kohli, was the number one batsman in the world at T20 Internationals for 1,013 days during his stellar form over the past decade. Babar has broken Kohli’s record for being at number one for the most days. The Pakistani captain has surpassed King Kohli in the number of days he has spent at number one. Babar is currently the number one batsman in the world in the T20 International and One Day International batsman rankings. He has recently said that he wants to achieve this feat in all three formats of the game.
Ishan Kishan lost a rung
India’s left-handed batsman Ishan Kishan has lost a place in the ICC T20 rankings released on Wednesday. Although he is still in the top 10, he has dropped one spot to seventh. Ishan has suffered this loss because he scored only 29 runs in two innings of two T20 series games against Ireland. At the same time, Harry Tactor, who scored 103 runs in two innings with a strike rate of 168.85, jumped 55 places to rank 66th.
Deepak Hooda took a long jump
Indian batsman Deepak Hooda, who scored the highest 151 runs in the India vs Ireland T20 series, has made a tremendous jump in the ICC T20 international batsman ranking. They have achieved a jump of 414 positions. In the latest rankings, Hooda has become the 104th batsman in the world.
