Kohli took a break from ODI-T20. Is Virat considering retirement?

After the World Cup, many senior players of Team India including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are celebrating holidays. A Team India team led by Suryakumar Yadav is currently playing a T20 series against Australia. After this series, Team India has to go on a tour of South Africa where they will first play three T20s, then three ODIs and then two Test matches. Even before this big tour, Virat Kohli announced that he would take a long break from white-ball cricket.

According to a report in Indian Express, Virat Kohli has informed BCCI that he is taking an indefinite break from the ODI and T20 formats and he himself will announce when he will return to these two formats. Virat Kohli’s fans are disappointed after this news. Fans feel that Virat Kohli may now distance himself from white-ball cricket and this is a sign of his early retirement from these two formats.

Virat Kohli is currently vacationing in London and Rohit Sharma is also enjoying his vacation with his family in London. Let us tell you that these two players have been playing cricket continuously for the last two to three months. First, Team India became champions in the Asia Cup, then defeated Australia in the home series and then reached the final by winning all 10 consecutive matches in the World Cup. Now, apart from Virat and Rohit, many senior players are also on vacation. Meanwhile, Virat’s decision seems to be a sign of retirement, but given Virat’s current form and fitness, it doesn’t seem like he should retire from any format at this point.
