“Kohli ‘spitted’ on me…,” the former African captain made serious allegations against Virat

Virat Kohli is currently leaving Team India due to personal reasons. The Indian team is playing a five-match Test series against England in which Kohli is not part of the squad. A big revelation came during Kohli’s absence from Team India. Former South Africa captain Dean Elgar said Virat Kohli once spat on him.

Dean Elgar recalled the 2015 incident and said Kohli angrily spat at him during the match. Afterwards there was mistreatment between the two.

Quoting media reports, Dean Elgar said: “When I came to bat, it felt like I was protecting myself from Ashwin and Jadeja and Kohli spat at me. In response, I called Kohli dirty. Abused.”

However, Elgar also revealed that Kohli had apologized to him. When India toured South Africa in 2017-18, Kohli had apologized to Elgar. Kohli also had a drink with Elgar during this time.

There were two matches in the five-match Test series between India and England. BCCI has also announced Team India for the final three Tests. Kohli disappeared from the entire series.

When the Indian team was announced for the final three Tests, Kohli’s name was also missing. At the time of team announcement, it was clarified that Kohli could not take part in the series due to personal reasons.
