Arrived in “Koh-Lanta, the Legend” following the departure on injury of Freddy, Loïc won the immunity test from his first participation. And took the opportunity to pay tribute to Bertrand-Kamal.
It is with a kiss sent to the sky that the young Savoyard – finalist of Koh-Lanta: the 4 lands – celebrated his first victory just hours after joining the tribe of men. A detail that did not escape Denis Brogniart, who asked him to clarify the meaning of his gesture when giving him the immunity collar.
“At the end of the event I kissed the sky because our love of Beka is there, my big brother from the Eastern team … Today, I ‘I was two in this event,’ Loïc said.
In an interview given to the site of Leisure TV, the young man returned to this emotional moment in more detail. “I really experienced this ordeal like that, as if there were two of us. I have this memory, when I took the coconut (the test consisted of throwing coconuts in a basket ten meters away, editor’s note), I was thinking hard of him, I really had the impression of being with him. I had had his parents on the phone just before leaving for Koh-Lanta, they did not know that I was participating of course, and I told them that if I had to redo the show one day, I would do him honor. All that helped me a lot in this event, it carried me. Proof that with the mind and when you are well surrounded, you can do anything, ”says Loïc.
Scoring candidate from Koh-Lanta: the 4 lands, Bertrand-Kamal died in September 2020 of pancreatic cancer, in the middle of the broadcast of the show. The candidates who participated in this edition, but also the production and the viewers, had multiplied the tributes to the adventurer at the time of the terrible news.
