ZEE5, India’s largest domestic OTT platform and storyteller for one billion Indians, today announced a free, direct-to-digital exclusive AVOD movie title, ‘Ardh’. Ardh, starring Rajpal Yadav, Rubina Dilaik, Hiten Tejwani and Kulbhushan Kharbanda, is a ZEE5 exclusive film set to be released on June 10. The film is produced by Pal Music and Films. Palash Muchhal has written and directed this film. Rubina Dilaik has made her debut in the cinema with this movie, while on the other hand Rajpal Yadav has been featured in the movie in an avatar never seen before.
As shown in the trailer of the film, the story shows how a boy from a small town, Shiva (Rajpal Yadav), struggles to become an actor in the city of dreams, Mumbai, despite being a great stage actor. . So now to live, eat and earn money in the city, he pretends to be transgender (Parvati) with the help of his wife (Rubina Dilaik) and begs for money on local trains and signs in Mumbai. It is the story of a dreamer in Dream City who sets out to find out if he will be able to fulfill his dreams or if his dreams are crushed in the midst of the fast-paced life of Mumbai.
