KL Rahul Shines as India-A Takes Lead Over England Lions

India A is taking on the England Lions in the second unofficial Test at Northampton. KL Rahul stole the show with a stunning 116-run knock, helping the team post 348 runs in the first innings. By the end of the second day, the England Lions had scored 192 runs, losing three wickets, and still trail by 156 runs.

On the first day, India A had scored 319 runs for the loss of seven wickets. The tail-enders failed to add many runs, with Josh Tonge wreaking havoc. Tonge clean-bowled Tanush Kotian for 15 and got Anshul Kamboj lbw. He also ran out Tushar Deshpande to end the Indian innings at 348.

When India A took to bowling, Anshul Kamboj gave them a great start by picking up the first wicket at 29. Tom Haines and Emilio Gay then stitched a 94-run partnership, putting the Indian team on the back foot. Tushar Deshpande finally broke the partnership by getting Haines caught behind for 54.

Emilio Gay and Jordan Cox then combined to add 69 runs. Tanush Kotian struck again, getting Gay lbw for 71, just as he was approaching his century. Gay fell to the first ball of the final over, and James Rew defended the remaining five balls. The England Lions ended the second day at 192 for three, with Jordan Cox unbeaten on 31.
