IND vs AUS: India’s cricket team is currently touring Australia, where they are engaged in a five-match test series. The series is currently tied at 1-1, with the next match scheduled to take place in Melbourne on 26 December. While the Indian team aims to secure a win and take the lead, this task may prove challenging. Amidst these circumstances, the Indian team has received some unfortunate news. Star player KL Rahul has sustained an injury prior to the fourth test match, which is a significant setback for the team.
KL Rahul’s Injury
The Indian team is currently practicing in Melbourne in preparation for the upcoming match against Australia. During a practice session, KL Rahul was struck by the ball in his hand while batting in the nets. The team’s physio provided treatment, and Rahul appeared to be in discomfort. He sustained an injury to his right hand and was seen seeking assistance from the physio. Although the team management and BCCI have not released any specific information regarding the severity of the injury, if KL Rahul is unable to participate in the fourth match due to a major injury, it would be a significant blow to the Indian team.
KL Rahul’s Form
A video circulating on social media shows Rahul holding his right hand during treatment. Throughout the current tour, Rahul has been in excellent form, scoring 235 runs in six innings at an average of 47. This skilled right-handed batsman has achieved two half-centuries and played a remarkable inning of 84 runs in the third match. Although he did not secure a century in that match, his innings helped the Indian team avoid a follow-on, ultimately leading to a draw.
