Kings go undefeated on the road in NBA

De’Aaron Fox scored 23 points, Richaun Holmes added 21 and the Sacramento Kings defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 113-109 on Friday for their second straight win and remain undefeated on the road this season.

Harrison Barnes had 18 points and 12 rebounds, and Buddy Hield contributed 20 points for Sacramento, which started the season with three wins on the road and two losses in its arena.

Jonas Valanciunas had 24 points and 13 rebounds for the Pelicans, who had a short-lived lead in the third quarter before Hield scored six unanswered points to give the lead to Kings, who would no longer lose.

Brandon Ingram added 22 points and Devonte Graham added 16. Graham’s third triple of the game brought the Pelicans up 107-104 with 23 seconds left. But New Orleans had to start fouling the Kings’ possessions and Sacramento went 6-6 from the penalty line to secure their victory.

Without star forward Zion Williamson, who is recovering from foot surgery, the Pelicans have lost five of their first six games of the season.
