King Salman’s invitation to visit Ibrahim Raisi

After the restoration of diplomatic relations, relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia began to increase, King Salman invited Ibrahim Raisi for a visit.

It should be noted that Iran and Saudi Arabia had announced to restore bilateral diplomatic relations on March 10. Diplomatic relations between Riyadh and Tehran were severed 7 years ago, but this month China played a major role in the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

According to foreign media, Mohammad Jamshidi, the deputy chief of staff for political affairs of the Iranian president, wrote on the social networking website Twitter that the Saudi ruler has invited the Iranian president to Saudi Arabia.

Continuing his speech, he wrote that the Saudi ruler wrote a letter to the Iranian president and welcomed the restoration of relations between the two countries. King Salman encouraged Iran-Saudi strong economic, regional cooperation.

Mohammad Jamshidi said that the Iranian president has welcomed the Saudi ruler’s invitation and has assured cooperation to increase cooperation from Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdul Hayan said that he will meet his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan soon. Three locations have been proposed for the proposed meeting. Iran announced its willingness to open an embassy. We agreed with Saudi Arabia that before the opening of embassies there should be technical delegation visits to prepare for this.

Regarding Yemen, the Iranian foreign minister said that the issue of Yemen is an internal problem, but we are working for stability in the region with the cooperation of Saudi Arabia. We will not accept any threat to national security from neighboring countries.
