King Charles III “Feeling very good given the circumstances,” said Queen Camilla

Camilathe wife of Charles IIIexplained this Thursday during a visit to the south of England that the king was “doing very well given the circumstances” and referred to his recently diagnosed cancer.

The king is “doing very well given the circumstances,” Britain’s queen said during an official visit to Salisbury Cathedral, responding to a man who told her he hoped her husband was well.

“He is very touched by the letters and messages that have been sent to him from all over the place. This is very encouraging,” Camila added.

During the queen’s visit, Charles stayed at the rural Sandringham residence in eastern England, where the monarchs moved on Tuesday.

Carlos III, 75, began treatment for an unspecified type of cancer this Monday, less than 18 months after his accession to the throne.

Although he will continue to carry out some of his administrative duties, the monarch will remain absent from public life indefinitely.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said the disease would be discovered “soon”.

Downing Street reported on Wednesday that the king’s weekly audience with the prime minister took place “by telephone”, an unusual piece of information about this traditional and “entirely private” meeting between the monarch and the head of government.

According to British media, face-to-face meetings are expected to resume in two weeks.
