Kim Kardashian recently addressed the noticeable absence of her son, Psalm, from her social media feeds. The reality star explained her approach to sharing her children’s lives publicly.
During a November 6 episode of The Kardashians, Kim offered a rare glimpse into Psalm’s life. She accompanied her 6-year-old son, whom she shares with Kanye West, to a voice recording session for an Angry Birds film.
Kardashian described a common pattern among parents. She noted that people often post "everything" about their first child, then gradually less with subsequent children. This is a common occurrence.
She recognized that the public might have noticed Psalm’s infrequent appearances. Kim then shared insights into his personality.
Psalm is "the smartest, funniest kid," Kardashian revealed. She called him "a very adaptable child" who is "a dream child and the most independent." He loves to dance and has the "cutest voice."
Kardashian shares North, 12, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm with ex-husband Kanye West. The couple married in 2014 and divorced in November 2022.
Earlier this season, Kardashian spoke about her co-parenting relationship with West. She emphasized her priority is protecting her children from public drama.
She stated that her children are reaching an age where they can see their father’s controversial behavior online. "My job as a mom is to make sure that when that behavior occurs, they are protected," she said.
Kardashian also mentioned feeling a past responsibility to help West. She indicated this was the first time she did not feel that personal burden.
West also weighed in on their co-parenting dynamic in September 2022, before their divorce was finalized. He shared his perspective on their shared parental duties.
He said he still offers Kim advice on issues that could benefit their children. West noted that Kardashian still raises the children "80 percent of the time."
New episodes of The Kardashians are available for streaming every Thursday on Hulu.
