Kim Kardashian: Kanye West Hasn’t Contacted Children in Months

Kim Kardashian recently revealed that she and her children have not heard from Kanye West in several months. The reality star discussed the challenges of co-parenting during an interview on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast, released on Wednesday, October 15.

Kardashian, 44, candidly admitted that co-parenting with her ex-husband, 48, is “not easy.” Their marriage spanned from 2014 to 2021, with their divorce finalized a year later.

The former couple shares four children: North, 11, Saint, 8, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5. Kardashian confirmed that she has her children “full-time” following their separation.

Despite the arrangement, Kardashian emphasizes the importance of a healthy relationship between her children and their father. She stated that she “always fights for that” but also protects her children when necessary.

West sees the children “when he calls” and requests to do so. Kardashian noted that it has “probably been a couple of months since we’ve heard from him.”

She explained that the children are aware of West’s extensive travels and touring, describing his lifestyle as a “big life.” Kardashian maintains that she handles the situation “very well,” and the children “love their life” and are accustomed to their routine.

Kardashian expressed frustration over a recurring public narrative that suggests she keeps her children away from West. She firmly denied these claims. “I’ve never done that,” she asserted.

The Skims founder clarified that “every time” West has asked to see their children, she has permitted it. She stressed that it is “not a kidnapping, it’s a divorce.”

Kardashian indicated that if a situation is genuinely unhealthy, she might suggest alternative arrangements, such as visits at her home. However, she observed that when West is experiencing difficulties, he tends to avoid seeing the children much himself.

She sends the children “all over the world every time he asks,” reiterating, “I do not withhold the children. I think that narrative is very unfair to me.”

Drawing on her own experience with her parents’ divorce, Kardashian believes that she and West can “still be in each other’s lives.” She cited her mother’s advice that it often takes “five years of divorce before it really falls into place” and everyone can coexist as friends.
