Airstrikes have occurred in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev, and in the country’s major cities. Attacks were also reported in Zaporizhia and Odessa in the south of the country. The attack came a day after Ukraine was blamed for a drone attack on the Kremlin.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is currently in the Netherlands. The airstrike came as he was giving a speech in The Hague as part of his surprise visit. He will also go to the International Criminal Court from there.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy denied launching an attack on the Kremlin in a speech at The Hague. There he said, we did not attack Moscow or Putin. We are fighting on our territory. We are fighting to protect our villages and towns. Russia has threatened to retaliate after the alleged drone strike.

Earlier, the Russian President’s Office said that two drones were attempted to attack the Kremlin on Tuesday night, but the Russian Defense Forces destroyed both drones in the air that night.

Alleging the attack, Russia has threatened to respond appropriately in due course. After such an announcement, air raid sirens sounded in many regions of Ukraine on Thursday morning. Explosions were reported in Kiev and Odessa. However, the British news media BBC has not yet confirmed whether there were any casualties in this attack.
