On August 11 and 12, the third edition of the Kids Hope Golf Tournament of the Friends Against Childhood Cancer Foundation, FACCI, will be held at the Punta Espada Golf Course.
The tournament is prepared to receive 200 golfers, with 100 players per day, in pairs scramble mode, and will compete in the three categories A, B, C and Ladies. The first three net places and an overall best gross score will be awarded.
In addition, and for the third consecutive year, the “Helicopter Golf Ball Drop” will take place, a unique dynamic, where hundreds of balls fall from the sky. When you purchase a ticket, you will be assigned a numbered golf ball; the same ones that will be dropped from the helicopter and the three balls that are closest to the flag of the hole will be winners of works of art by the artists Patricia Read, Eilen Jorge and Aida Vàsquez.
Cap Cana will also be the setting for a schedule of events for all Kid’s Hope participants, these activities being “Buy a Mulligan from the pro” with the presence of Willy Pumarol, the first Dominican golfer to be a member of the World Ranking & PGA Tour Latin America, another activity is “Buy a Putt from the mini pro” with Alejandro Balbuena, as well as “Beat the Cancer target” dynamic that will take place during warm-ups where players will measure their accuracy with ball strokes towards a panel of challenges.
This edition of the Kid’s Hope Golf Tournament has a special connotation since this year FACCI turns 20 saying “Yes to life” and in turn on this occasion it will support more than 15 support programs offered by FACCI at the Robert Read Cabral Children’s Hospital, contributing to improving the quality of medical care, remodeling and equipping certain areas and thanks to a public-private alliance that will achieve the remodeling of the oncohematology hospitalization area, among other areas and support. res to HIRCC.
