Khelo India 2021 Youth Games launched in Panchkula

The 2021 Khelo India Junior Games kicked off in Panchkula, Haryana. Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the occasion as the main guest. In addition, more than 200 students presented a colorful program in this program. In addition to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur, and the Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Nishith Pramanik, were also present on the occasion. Apart from this, other familiar faces from Haryana including the State Sports Minister Sandeep Singh became a part of this show.

At the Khelo India Junior Games 2021, 4,700 athletes will compete in 25 sports for 269 Gold, 269 Silver and 358 Bronze. These athletes include 2,262 girls. The Khelo India Junior Games will run until June 13. Athletes from 37 states and union territories of India participate in this event. It will be held in 5 cities (Panchkula, Shahbad, Ambala, Chandigarh and Delhi). There will be a total of 25 sports in these games including 5 indigenous Indian sports: Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta, Gatka, Mallakhambha and Yogasan.

We inform that this is the fourth edition of India Youth Games-2021. 8,500 players, coaches and support staff participate in this edition. In fact, five traditional sports such as Gatka, Kalaripayattu, Thang-Ta, Malkhamb and Yogasana have also been included in this prestigious competition for the first time. Previously it was not part of this event. These sporting events will be organized in Panchkula, Ambala, Shahabad, Chandigarh and Delhi. While the Tau Devi Lal Panchkula sports complex is the main venue for these sports competitions.
