Keyd Stars Academy Beats LOS Despite Korean Bootcamp

The Circuito Desafiante 2025, affectionately known as Circuitão among fans, kicked off on Monday night, featuring four teams in the first day of the LoL (League of Legends) competition: Keyd Stars Academy (VKS), RED Academy (RED), LOS, and Flamengo Esports (FLA). This year marks a significant change in the League of Legends landscape, as the CBLOL (Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends) has ceased to exist with the unification of the American continent’s leagues into the LTA (League of The Americas). As a result, the Academy has transformed into the Circuito Desafiante, effectively taking the place of the former Brazilian championship.

The first match of the Circuitão saw VKS face off against RED. The Keyd Stars Academy took an early lead, winning the first game, but RED Academy bounced back, claiming the second and third games to secure a 2-1 victory. Following the match, RED’s midlaner, Grevthar, took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration, stating, “What a frustrating game 2 and 3. I feel like we lost our way throughout the series, both in terms of draft and gameplay. I want to thank you all for the kind messages and support – we’ll work on improving for next week. GGWP Keyd and #GoRED.”

In another exciting matchup, LOS faced off against Flamengo Esports (FLA). Despite high expectations for a closely contested series, FLA dominated both games of the best-of-three, taking the win 2-0. The community had anticipated a strong performance from LOS, given their bootcamp in South Korea since January, but unfortunately, they failed to deliver. As LTA Sul tweeted, “@flaesports ran over the competition and won the series 2-0! #Circuitão” – a disappointing outcome for LOS fans, who had hoped for a more evenly matched contest.
