Dominican producer and filmmaker kevin martinez announces that the fourth edition of the Dominican Theater Festival will be held, Republik Theaterwhich for the first time will be held in four cities: Miami, Boston, Montreal and the main venue, New York.
This change in format seeks to expand the diffusion and bring more Hispanics closer to the Dominican theater with international projection. For this reason, the piece chosen for this edition of the Festival is the award-winning work by Eve Ensler, The Vagina Monologue.
This fourth edition of the Republik Theater Festival will begin at the prestigious Symphony Space Theater (2537 Broadway, NYC. 10025), from Friday June 16 to Sunday June 18. The dates and the place of representation in the other cities will be published soon on the networks of the event @republikteatro.
The vagina monologues is one of the most successful productions by Juancito Rodríguez, tireless of the Dominican theater, and this time it will have the special participation of four renowned actresses from the national show: Hony Estrella, Gabi Desangles, Yorlla Castillo and Johanna González.

Kevin Martínez, producer of the event, expressed being excited to be able to carry this fourth edition of the Dominican Theater Festival so that the Latino and Dominican community connects with the good theater that is done in the country and announces that there will be a fifth edition at the end of year, with which it seeks to expand the range of options and proposals for the enjoyment of the diaspora. He also pointed out that he seeks to expand the proposal so that the annual show is not only Dominican theater, but Latin American. With this he also calls on directors, actors and producers from Colombia, Mexico, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, to send their proposals.
Republik Teatro is conceived as a sample of the diversity and plurality of the different genres and trends of the Dominican performing arts and this time it expands the cities so that the Latino community residing in the United States and Canada can also enjoy the best of Dominican theater .
