Ketamine Queen Jasveen Sangha to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry Overdose Death

Jasveen Sangha, often called the “ketamine queen,” has agreed to admit guilt in the sad case of Matthew Perry’s overdose death. This marks a big step forward in the legal process surrounding the actor’s passing.

NBC News shared this significant update on Monday, August 18. According to reports, Sangha is 42 years old. She plans to plead guilty to several serious charges. These include one count for running a place linked to drugs. She also faces three counts for giving out ketamine. There is also a charge for giving out ketamine that caused death or serious harm. Sangha could face a very long prison sentence. She might get up to 65 years if found guilty. She is expected to make her official plea in the next few weeks. The exact date for Sangha’s sentencing has not been set yet. Her lawyer, Mark Geragos, told NBC News that Sangha is “taking responsibility for her actions.”

Matthew Perry, beloved by fans worldwide, passed away at age 54 in October 2023. A toxicology report later revealed the cause of his death. It stated he died from “the acute effects of ketamine.” The report also mentioned other things that played a part. These included drowning, heart disease, and the effects of buprenorphine. This drug is often used to help people with opioid addiction.
