Kessie, tempted by Arabia

Franck Kessié is right now the only player on the FC Barcelona squad with a real chance of leaving the club this summer. The Ivorian, as we anticipate in AS, has ruled in favor of an exit, as long as the conditions are favourable. In this sense, ‘Mundo Deportivo’ echoed today an offer from Saudi Al Ahli, which doubled the player’s current record and which also meant some 20 million in income for Barça’s coffers. It must be borne in mind that the Ivorian arrived for free last summer, from Milan, so the money generated by his transfer would go clean into the club’s coffers.

Xavi Hernández has already spoken personally with the player to let him know that today he cannot guarantee minutes, and even less after the signing of IlKay Gündogan, so it seems self-evident that your output would be the best fit for all parties: For the club, it would mean freeing up the wage bill and paying an amount for the transfer, while for the player, it would double, in the worst case, his current file.

And it is that Al Ahli’s offer, according to some media, is more than tempting: 10 million net for the player for each of the three seasons he would sign, plus 20 million for Barcelona. In any case, it seems that Kessié wants to get more out of the operation, since her agent would be asking for a greater amount of token.

What is clear is that if an agreement is finally reached, the operation to bring Marcelo Brozovic to Barcelona would be activated immediately.
