Franck Kessie wants to continue being a player FC Barcelona. The Ivorian midfielder’s contract expires in June 2026, but in recent weeks, the media have echoed a possible move to Inter Milan. And it is that, Kessié has settled in the starting eleven of Barça since he arrived last summer, from AC Milan completely free of charge.
The midfielder has spoken for two sports newspapers in Catalonia (SPORT and Sports World) to clarify that he does not want to leave FC Barcelona: “The idea of leaving never crossed my mind. Neither me nor my entourage. I am a Barcelona fan,” he says. In addition, he trusts his physical level and confesses that he sees himself “for many years at Barça”. Such is his confidence in himself that he confirms that he is in his best moment since he landed in Barcelona.
Franck Kessié, a fixture in Xavi Hernández’s schemes
Since he left Milan to join FC Barcelona, the good old Franck Kessié has gone from less to more. He began the season with a more secondary role, but little by little he has gained the trust of Xavi Hernández. He already has 30 official matches played, with half of them starting as a starter. As if that were not enough, he has already been able to score twice and has given two assists. Now, the Ivorian is confident in his level and expresses his intentions to continue for many years at FC Barcelona.
