Kerala rain: Even death could not separate mother and son, a sad scene

New Delhi: Heavy rains and landslides in the Indian state of Kerala have so far claimed the lives of more than 30 people in the Valley of Death.

According to Indian media reports, rescue operations were launched in Kerala after heavy rains and landslides.

Rescue workers said the bodies of the mother and son, identified as 28-year-old Fauzia and 10-year-old Amin, were found hugging each other while searching for people under the rubble, while a child was found dead in a swing.

According to the rescue workers, they had seen a very painful scene from the mound of mud and debris yesterday. When the bodies of three children buried under the rubble were exhumed, they were holding each other’s necks despite their deaths. She was identified as seven-year-old Amna, eight-year-old Afsan and four-year-old Ahyan.

The sad part of the incident is that all of them belong to the same family.

On the other hand, according to the latest information from the Kerala Disaster Management Authority, rains and strong winds are forecast in the state till October 21, during which rain with thunderstorms at a speed of 40 km per hour is expected.
