Kento Hashimoto Leaves Eibar for FC Tokyo in Shocking Transfer Move

Transfer Update

Kento Hashimoto’s time at Eibar has come to an end, with the Japanese player returning to his home country after just six months. An agreement has been reached with FC Tokyo for his transfer, marking the end of his brief stint with the team.

A Brief Tenure

During his time at Eibar, Kento played a total of eight games, with seven appearances in the League and one in the Cup. His arrival was intended to bolster the team’s creative midfield position, but with Matheus Pereira already established in the role, opportunities were limited.

Surprising Lack of Playing Time

What is surprising, however, is how little Kento featured in the team’s lineup, even when Matheus Pereira was injured. Instead of turning to the Japanese player, the team opted for a double pivot formation, with Sergio Álvarez and Nolaskoain taking on more prominent roles. Kento started just one league match, which was a lackluster performance for the team.

A New Arrival

Kento’s departure has been swiftly followed by the arrival of Javi Martínez, who will fill the vacancy left by the Japanese player. While the two players have different styles, Javi Martínez is expected to bring a more dynamic approach to the team, with the ability to play in advanced areas of the field and offer more variety to the team’s gameplay.
