Kelian Nsona, the fresh face at Casa Pia, is still waiting for his moment on the pitch. Fans are keen to see the new French winger in action. He sat out the recent friendly match against 1.º Dezembro, where Casa Pia secured a solid 4-0 win.
This is a different path than fellow new signing Yassin Oukili. Oukili joined the squad on the very first day of pre-season training. Nsona, on the other hand, only started practicing with the team mid-week. At 23 years old, he is just beginning to settle in. He’s learning the team’s style and getting to know his new teammates.
Coach João Pereira is taking a careful approach with Nsona. There’s no rush to throw him into the deep end. The next chance for Nsona to show what he can do will likely come this Saturday. Casa Pia is scheduled to play another test match against Torreense. This game happens right before the squad packs its bags.
The team will travel south to the Algarve for their training camp. That camp begins the day after the Torreense friendly. For now, the players are enjoying a well-deserved break this weekend. They will be back on the training ground come Monday, kicking off their third week of pre-season work.
