Fans of Night City’s most iconic rocker, Johnny Silverhand, just got a jolt of exciting news. Keanu Reeves, the voice and likeness behind the legendary character in Cyberpunk 2077, recently hinted at a potential return. This comes even though players already know how Johnny’s story wrapped up in the first game.
Speaking with IGN during his promotional tour for the new film Good Fortune, Reeves was asked about reprising his role as the rebellious rocker. Without missing a beat, he expressed his enthusiasm. The actor made it clear he would be happy to step back into Johnny Silverhand’s chrome boots if the game’s creators wanted him.

"Of course," Reeves stated simply, "I’d be glad to be Johnny Silverhand again." While the star’s eagerness is clear, the real challenge lies with the game studio, CD Projekt. It remains a mystery how they would weave Johnny back into the narrative for the upcoming Cyberpunk sequel, known currently as Project Orion. Perhaps past events could be explored through "Braindance" recordings or other creative storytelling methods.
For now, fans will need to be patient. CD Projekt is busy getting The Witcher 4 ready for release. This means any new details about the Cyberpunk sequel are likely a long way off. We’ll have to wait quite a while before learning how, or if, Johnny Silverhand truly rocks again.
