Katrina Kaif Wins Best Actress Award At Indie Film Festival

Bollywood superstar Katrina Kaif just took home the award for Best Actress at the Indie Film Festival Awards in New York. Her film, ‘Merry Christmas’, impressed the judges with her stunning performance as a woman named Merry. The suspense thriller, directed by Sriram Raghavan, also stars south Indian superstar Vijay Sethupathi.

Other big winners at the Indie Film Festival Awards included Kartik Aaryan, who won Best Actor for his film ‘Chandu Champion’. The movie itself won the award for Best Film, while Kabir Khan took home the award for Best Director for the same film. ‘Binni and Family’ won the award for Best Family Film, and Siddharth Anand won the award for Best Director for his film ‘Fighter’.

But that’s not all – some newcomers also made a big splash at the awards. Abhay Verma won the award for Best Debutant Male for his film ‘Munjha’, while Anjini Dhawan won the award for Best Debutant Female for her role in ‘Binni and Family’. Imtiaz Ali’s Netflix film ‘Chamkeela’ won the award for Best OTT Special, and actress Pratibha Ranta won the Rising Star award for her performance in ‘Lapata Ladies’.

These winners prove that Indian cinema is on the rise, with talented actors and directors making waves globally. The Indie Film Festival Awards are a celebration of independent cinema, and it’s amazing to see Indian films and artists being recognized on such a big platform.
