Kate Gosselin recently acknowledged her boyfriend, Steve Neild, on social media. This happened after both faced accusations of having an affair while Kate was married to Jon Gosselin. Just recently, during a TikTok live stream, Kate’s new boyfriend made a quick appearance. He briefly showed up to hand her a latte. His face wasn’t visible to viewers, but Kate still thanked him on camera.
“Hello to the boyfriend,” Kate, 50, joked as she read comments from her fans. She then told her audience that he “waved back” from off-camera. Someone asked if she’d ever make a video with her boyfriend. Kate paused. “He doesn’t really like it,” she admitted. “I’m not ruling it out, but you know, he’s not super excited about all this. We’ll see.” Another fan commented, “You deserve to be treated like a queen.” Kate simply replied, “I agree.”
Kate first made headlines on September 22. During a TikTok Q&A, she opened up about her love life. A fan asked, “Are you dating anyone?” “The answer to that question is, actually, finally yes,” she said. “I’ve been dating someone for a year or a little over a year, maybe around 14, 15 months. I’m super, super happy. It’s someone I’ve known for a very, very long time, and I’m very, very happy.” At the time, Kate chose not to share her boyfriend’s name publicly. “He doesn’t want to be on TikToks,” she explained. “I can’t really blame him, I guess. But maybe you’ll see him every now and then later on.”
However, Page Six later reported that Kate was indeed dating Neild, who used to be her bodyguard. This news sparked a strong reaction from her ex-husband, Jon, 48. He accused Neild of helping to cause their divorce. Jon and Kate were married from 1999 to 2009. They share twins, Madelyn and Cara, 24, and sextuplets, Aaden, Hannah, Leah, Alexis, Collin, and Joel, 21.
On September 24, Jon took to Instagram. He posted a photo of Kate and Neild, along with a screenshot of the Page Six article. “Guess who really ruined the marriage,” he wrote. He added, “Read it yourselves.” Jon’s post also included a defiant message: “Maybe now people will listen to me when I speak!”
Collin, the son of Jon and Kate, has been estranged from his mother for many years. He then shared more details about the accusations through his Instagram Stories. “What truly upsets me is that my mother had a relationship with our bodyguard back in 2009,” Collin claimed on September 24. “For years, she shared hotel rooms with him during family vacations. And I was in the room right next door!” He continued, “Now everyone thinks being with him is a cute love story. By the way, my dad received death threats. He was shunned by the public for years for ‘having an affair’ and ‘abandoning his children’.” Collin also added, “I hope she doesn’t try to cover this up. She should come out and tell the truth.”
Collin also challenged Kate’s timeline for dating her boyfriend for “a little over a year.” He claimed, “You’ve been with him.” The very next day, September 25, Collin invited Kate to take a lie detector test with him. He wrote on his Instagram story, “Then we’ll see who has been lying directly to the public.”
