Following her captivating performance in the item number ‘Kisik’ from the film Pushpa 2: The Rule, Srileela is reportedly in talks with renowned Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar and Dharma Productions. This potential collaboration may mark her Bollywood debut in a grand way.
Possible Lead Role in Upcoming Film
Dharma Productions has recently announced its new film, ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’, starring Karthik Aryan as the lead actor. Srileela has been approached to sign on as the lead actress in this project. Although no official announcement has been made, sources suggest that the discussions have yielded a positive outcome.
A source shared with India Today/Aaj Tak that Srileela’s screen presence is impressive, and her pairing with Karthik Aryan would bring a fresh and exciting combination to Bollywood. The talks are ongoing, and if everything falls into place, the final details will be confirmed in the coming days.
Established Career in South Cinema
Before her item song in Pushpa 2: The Rule, Srileela had already worked with prominent actor Mahesh Babu in the film Guntur Karam. She has also been a part of several other notable films, including Bhagwant Kesari, Extra Ordinary Man, Skanda, Adikeshva, and Amukta. At just 23 years old, Srileela is considered a well-known face in South Cinema, having made her debut in 2019 with the Kannada film ‘Kiss’ opposite actor Virat.
While details about the film ‘Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri’ are scarce, it is reported to be a romantic drama set for release by the end of 2025. Karthik Aryan’s last film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, was a commercial success, earning up to Rs 400 crore at the box office.
