Karol G breaks another record by drawing a crowd in Manhattan in a traditional show

Karol G broke another record: this time by summoning a gigantic crowd in Manhattan this Friday during the free concert of the American TV show “Today”, which is broadcast on NBC.

“La Bichota,” from the Rockefeller Center plaza in Manhattan, New York, drew “the biggest crowd we’ve ever had” at the TODAY show’s free concerts, the hosts described it.

Thousands of fans of the reggaeton and urban music star began to fill the surroundings of Rockefeller Center from Thursday night to not miss the presentation of their favorite artist, reported the portal of the Hispanic television network Telemundo.

According to the police report, at least 15,000 people registered for this presentation of the interpreter of “TQG”, “Provence”, “While I heal from the heart” and “Gatúbela”.

Karol G’s reaction was also jubilant: “Today was my debut on the Todayshow stage; a stage that music legends have stepped on and being our first time we were more than 15 thousand people breaking a new record after 24 years !!!!!!”.

He immediately asked: How do you land on this? Thank you all for so much love… All of this is as much mine as it is yours, ours! I’ll see you on the tour, well… to spend a chimba and to continue fulfilling dreams, that this life was made for that!!!

Karol reviewed that he had “almost 4 months of not getting on stage … and although time passes quickly for me it became eternal not having that moment with you. I feel full, happy and grateful for the family that we are”.

Pictures from the concert show the crowd around the stage ready to sing the songs from their latest album “Tomorrow will be beautiful”, “China” and “Momiii”.

During the concert, Karol G along with his women’s band performed some of his best-known songs from the album “Mañana Será Bonito”, which was released earlier this year, including the single with the same name. They also performed TQG, a song she did in collaboration with Shakira, and Amargura, Telemundo said.

The concert takes place a month before the start of the singer’s tour of the United States that begins on August 3 in Chicago.

The Colombian singer Karol G will extend her tour “Tomorrow will be beautiful” with six additional presentations in the United States, announced the production company Live Nation.

The company indicated in a statement that the extension “is due to the incredible success of the global superstar”, who recently became the first female artist to achieve three sold-out events at the Bithorn Stadium in Puerto Rico, “providing the public with an indication of what lies ahead with the upcoming tour, further solidifying his iconic status.”

According to the new program, the tour begins on August 11 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas (Nevada), and continues on August 14 at Levi’s Stadium in San Francisco (California), on August 18 and 19 at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena (California), on August 25 and 26 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami (Florida), on August 29 at the NRG Stadium in Houston (Texas), and on August 31 at the Alamodome in San Anthony (Texas).

The following presentations are scheduled for September 2 at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas (Texas). On September 7 and 8 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford (New Jersey). On September 15 at Soldier Field in Chicago (Illinois), on September 21 at the Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta (Georgia). On September 24 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando (Florida), and on September 28 at the Gillette Stadium in Boston (Massachusetts).

THE SUCCESSFUL 2023

With her return to the American stages, the Colombian wants to score another achievement after becoming the first female artist to reach number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 list with an album in Spanish for “Mañana ser bonito”, released in February.

The singer has said that “Tomorrow will be beautiful”, her fourth album, which includes collaborations with Shakira, shows her “more intimate” side.

Karol G has recently had a great presence in the American media when she was invited to participate in “Saturday Night Live”. She performed “Your glasses” and “While I heal my heart.” She participated with Ana de Armas, Marcello Hernández and Mikey Day in a parody about a Spanish class.

Two-time Latin Grammy winner, Karol G is currently the most viewed artist of 2023 on YouTube. With over 990 million views this year alone.
