Karl-Anthony Towns scores 25 points and Minnesota gets 5th. win followed

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and the Minnesota Timberwolves made 22 3-pointers to earn their fifth straight win, beating the Sacramento Kings 134-114 on Tuesday night.

Malik Beasley matched his career high with seven 3-pointers and finished with 21 points to help the Wolves win ninth in 12 games. D’Angelo Russell had 14 points and had seven assists.

De’Aaron Fox had 29 points, six assists and seven rebounds after missing eight games with Sacramento. Earlier in the day, the Kings, who have lost nine of 11, signed Domantas Sabonis from the Indiana Pacers in a six-player deal.

BUCKS 131, LAKERS 116

LOS ANGELES — Giannis Antetokounmpo had 44 points on 17-of-20 shooting, Bobby Portis had 23 points on five 3-pointers, and the Milwaukee Bucks beat the Los Angeles Lakers 131-116 on Tuesday.

MEMPHIS.- Ja Morant scored 30 points, and Jaren Jackson Jr. added 26, with 11 rebounds and three blocks, in the thrashing that the Memphis Grizzlies gave the Los Angeles Clippers 135-109 on Tuesday.

Morant’s offensive production came thanks to his shooting 12-for-19 from the field, marking the ninth time in the past 10 games the star reached the 30-point mark. Brandon Clarke finished with 16 points for Memphis.

Backup center Isaiah Hartenstein led the Clippers with 19 points, while Norman Powell added 16 points. Terance Mann and Robert Covington each finished with 14.

SUNS 114, 76ERS 109

PHILADELPHIA (AP) – Devin Booker scored 35 points and Chris Paul added 16 and dished out a dozen assists as the Phoenix Suns beat the Philadelphia 76ers 114-109 on Tuesday night.

The Suns reached 44 wins in the campaign, the most in the NBA. They rallied from a 14-point deficit for their 14th win in 15 games to improve to 44-10.

Joel Embiid had 34 points and 12 rebounds for the Sixers, though he mishandled the ball twice in the final minutes, foiling a comeback attempt.

The Cameroonian reached for the 25th time in a row to have at least 25 points and 10 rebounds – the longest streak of its kind in the NBA during the last two seasons and the longest by a Sixers player since Embiid himself stringed together six in 2018-19.

HAWKS 133, PACERS 112

ATLANTA.- Trae Young scored 34 points and the Atlanta Hawks recovered the aim with the triples to overwhelm the Indiana Pacers 133-112 on Tuesday, decimated by a trade.

After shooting just 5-for-25 from 3-point shooting in a 103-94 loss to Atlanta on Sunday, the Hawks shot 17-for-33.

John Collins added 20 points as the Hawks rebounded after losing two straight and three of the last four. Young, Collins and most of the starters had the luxury of resting in the fourth quarter.

Chris Duarte led the Pacers with 25 points. Lance Stephenson added 24, along with nine rebounds and eight assists, in his first start this season.
