Karl-Anthony Towns after being injured and there is concern

Concern in the Timberwolves for the physical state of Karl-Anthony Towns, but at the same time hope that the Dominican player has been able to avoid a serious injury. Towns had to leave the Wizards-Timberwolves midway through the third quarter.

The player was left lying in the middle of the court without being able to get up. Towns showed signs of intense pain in the lower part of his right leg and at first it was feared that it could be a fateful Achilles tendon injury, an end that is almost ruled out at the moment.

Towns had to leave the court on his way to the changing rooms, but he had to do so supported by his teammate Rudy Gobert and with his right leg totally rigid, unable to put his foot on the ground.

In principle, it could be an injury to the right calf, but we will have to wait for the MRI that will be performed today, although after the game optimism reigned in the ranks of the Timberwolves, believing that it would not be a serious injury.

It was not a good night for the Dominican. He wasn’t playing well—he had 8 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists in 22 minutes—and his team fell to Washington 142-127.

It is not being a good start to the campaign for the Minnesota All-Star, who has averaged 20.8 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists in 21 games to date.
