Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, recently honored their late father, businessman Sunjay Kapur, on his birth anniversary. Kapur’s birthday falls on October 15.
Actress Karisma Kapoor posted a picture of a celebratory cake on her Instagram account. The cake was inscribed with the heartfelt message “Happy Birthday Dad,” a clear tribute from her children.
Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma’s sister and aunt to Samaira and Kiaan, also shared an emotional note. Reposting Karisma’s update, she wrote, “My Sam and Kiu, Papa will always protect you,” accompanied by a heart emoji.
Sunjay Kapur passed away earlier this year in June. His family’s observance of his birthday reflects a continued remembrance of him.
Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapur were married in 2003. They had two children together during their marriage, Samaira and Kiaan.
The couple filed for divorce by mutual consent in 2014. Their divorce was subsequently finalized in 2016.
A significant dispute is reportedly ongoing concerning Sunjay Kapur’s estate. The estate is valued at approximately $3.6 billion USD (30,000 crore Indian Rupees). Lawyers representing the interests of Samaira and Kiaan are involved in this matter.
